wow, anthony fantano responded to my fan letter.
i don’t want to say this is a great thing for me due to it’s context and reason, but i feel this is a pretty influential moment in the ‘healing process’ due to the feelings regarding the end of most recent relationship.i am kind of surprised at some of the albums he suggested to me (and for all who are experiencing what i am going through currently).  it feels so bizarre because he’s suggesting a few of my favorite albums by elliott smith, bright eyes and my favorite album of all time, tallahassee by the mountain goats.
the most ironic part is the in depth commentary he adds for of montreal’s ‘a bedside drama’ because it is my ex’s favorite artist and album.  my ex had once told me the lyric, ‘i doubt that you’re the only one like you that i’ll find but for sure you’re one of a very few of a kind.’ because it was cute, yet very realistic when you look at relationships in the long-term. i agree, it’s very true and relatable, this entire album is something that i will always remember us by.
anthony, i don’t mind listening to someone ‘screaming in my ear’ or spinning a whiny emo album.  i have to say that emo/skramz is my forte and i have most definitely been diving deep into some of these as of recently.
thanks anthony, i truly appreciate all of this. it’s really helping me and i hope anyone else out there with a broken heart gets lifted by your suggestions. i’m going to take these suggestions and make a playlist and i’m going to lay in bed and listen, start to finish.
a wise man once told me that ‘if this is the lowest you can get then it’s only going to go uphill from here.’ :)
